The last 6 months went by quickly as we hammered out the remainder of our 09 bottling, and completed another successful harvest.  Almost all our lots have finished fermenting, and have been tucked in their cozy barrels to age in relative peace for the remainder of the winter.  We tried to do an ice semillon again this year, but the weather didn't cooperate and we ended up making a late harvest semillon.  It is still fermenting in barrel - tasting sweet and delicious.  It will likely be bottled this April.  2009 was a banner year for us competition wise, with some of our wines winning competitions outright, and most receiving high accolades in some very presitigious events.  No need to dwell on the past though.  We just entered the 2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition,  and ended up winning best of class awards for our 2007 Grenache, & 2007 Petit Verdot.  Our Cabernet Franc received a double gold there, and our Merlot received a gold medal.  A great way to start our the New Year!

Our new website is finally online, and we are in the midst of making a lot of overdue updates and changes.  We are sure you will all be pleased with our new shopping system which has really helped us streamline the ordering process to make getting that next order of Zerba wine out the door all the faster and more efficient.  We have also added another tier to our Wine Club which we are tongue-in-cheek calling the Prisoners of Zerba.  Prisoners still receive 3 shipments a year, but have the option of receiving either 6, or 12 bottles per shipment.  In addition to providing access to rarer wines, the 6 and 12 bottle shipments help you economize shipping costs, and make sure you have enough Zerba wine on hand for that next special dinner party.
